    Beautiful Spot!
Very picturesque, was a still day and the reflections in the lake were amazing. Slight snow dusting on the peaks added to the beauty. Easy undulating walk, a little muddy in places so walking shoes or boots preferable.

Totally worthwhile easy hike - great outing from Queenstown.
Moke Lake is a very pleasant, varied and scenic circular walk. It is on an excellent track of 6.2km with 108m of gentle elevation gain in total. It took us 2 hours at a gentle pace with stops to admire the great views. There are no rough parts but there is a boardwalk across a wetland which had a 20m section with a few cm of water when we did it in November (see photos) - so you need decent boots or get wet feet. To get there drive 7km out of Queenstown on the Glenorchy Road, turn right and drive for another 7km. The parking area is also a well equipped camp-site with toilets, washrooms and water taps. Total outing duration from Queenstown was 3.5 hours including drive and admiring the views.

    A Photographers paradise
I was blessed with great weather & little to no wind & the reflections on the lake were beautiful. It’s just a short drive from Queenstown & honestly early is best. It’s a nice drive up but the last km or so is unsealed but no issue for any car. There’s a walking track around the whole lake that they say takes about 2.5 hrs but I didn’t bother as the sun was behind me for morning photos which is exactly what I wanted. There was also a trip from town that allowed you to go canoeing or another one does fishing which looked good. All in all it’s a must see.

Forgot to open my downloaded map on AllTrails. It never showed but trail
Is well marked.
Sprinkles and then full-on rain—left poncho and hat at hotel!
Good hike albeit rainy and wet.
15 minutes of gravel driving to trailhead
Good for most anyone

The walk around Moke Lake says 2 1/2 hours but it took us about 1 and a half. The walk is gentle apart from one or two slightly steep bits but on a beautiful day, as we had, the views were spectacular.

We drove the road up to Moke Lake. Sections of the road are narrow & gravel. The Lake is beautiful. We went up to this area to go horseback riding.

Unreal. One of the best kept secrets not far from queenstown. Scenic drive in with sheep and lamb into a beautiful lake with the rolling hills

Absolutely stunning place, not to far on a gravel road to a beautiful doc site with a lake that so clear we had to swim in it. Cool but not freezing. Inviting place to camp so we will be back - need a little bug spray.

Lovely area for picnicking however, be aware of the very long, narrow, dusty road to reach it. Vehicles do have a tight squeeze on that road and particularly for Campers and Motorhomes. Regardless, it is a gorgeous area for cycling and I highly recommend that you try that.

I don't want to shout about this place in case it gets popular, but at 20 minutes from town (if that), this is a great walk.

Around the Lake takes just over an hour if you are fast.

Beautiful landscape. Worth the trip
