Could not recommend this trip more! Simon, the trip leader was perfectly professional but also fun, animated and wonderfully interactive with everyone. A fantastic day out with incredible scenery and a lot of laughs. Everything one could need was provided and the photos were superb.

As part of the Wakatipu Youth Trust Holiday Programme, We had a fun day out with Family Adventures at Skippers Canyon. The day was awesome from start to finish. The rapids were grade 1/2 which made a great experience for the youth, as it was their first time white water rafting. Lots of surprises along the way and a splashing... More

Family adventures took great care of the family. We have a 6 and 10 year old and they both had a terrific time. The rapids were a class 2 so very tame but enough for the kids to have fun. Guides were funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. The drive out was half the fun. Get your cameras ready.

A great option if you want to give your youngish children the first experience of rafting. Took the early morning option (with just one other family) so had the benefit of a smaller group too. Drive to the canyon was spectacular but perfectly safe with the experienced staff. We were provided all the kit we needed and the rafting itself... More

We took our 7 and 5 year old on this rafting trip and they both voted it the best thing they did in NZ. The drive in to Skippers Canyon is a bit hairy but stunning and the driver was extremely cautious and experienced. Both guides were enthusiastic and obviously love hanging with kids, and they made the trip lots... More

Awesome day with beautiful scenery in a special part of the world. Quite different from scenery elsewhere in NZ. Lovely trip down the river with our entertaining guides. Lots of laughs. We were a family group with children aged 13 and 11 and a grandparent 70+. Something we could all do together, and even the grandparent did the rock jump.... More

Thanks for your feedback - love stories like this. Where different generations can experience something unique together and have an awesome time. My mother hates the water yet she has come on this trip multiple times with her grandkids :-) More

Mark and his team are fantastic - our kids (14, 11 and 9) loved the rafting and rock jumping - they want to do it again! We (parents) had a great time too, and felt in very safe hands. The drive through Skippers Canyon to the river is magnificent and NOT something I would want to do myself. Highly recommended,... More
