The trek had the most beautiful sights since the day I got married. As a 60 year old I needed the training I had done. It was a multi day walk that was a satisfying challenge. The best thing was how friendly, fun and professional...More

- Would it be feasible to wash/dry in your private room rather than the dry room? (all my stuff is quick dry and I've never had a problem having dry clothes by morning.) - Are the private rooms secure (ie with locks) or is it generally a safe atmosphere? (city girl paranoia.) - I've done several hikes but struggle with quick altitude gain (ie really worried about day 2 of Milford)...is the uphill straight, or are there switchbacks, or are there areas that are flat to catch your breath? - I read they recommend that you carry 1 liter of water, but I've never gone on a hike (even a half day hike) with less than 1.5 liters and I generally finish before lunch. Are there places to fill up along the way? If so, it is feasible with just a bladder (I don't want to carry a separate bottle just to transfer water)?
