An amazing array of different historical subjects covered well in one location for those with limited time. The WWI memorial display with the mass of poppies was my favourite. Great cafe and a well stocked shop.

Was not expecting a Museum in a small place to be so good. So many different and interesting exhibits there; could easily fill in a day there.

Have to praise the museum for putting on a scavenger hunt for school aged children during the holidays! It's heaps of fun and even as an adult it can be challenging. It gets the kids interested in the history and different exhibitions that are on!...More

Great to see 5 in total. A great place to visit. We also managed to see Henry the male star who became at dad at close to 111 years old.

There's a good tourist travel advisory service in the building. A tribute to those who served in World War One. An art gallery. And, an interesting "zoo" for a 100+year old lizard-like animal, 'Henry' and a filmed history about his behaviour.

The history of area is well presented. Current art exhibition was small but very interesting. The virtual reality presentation of World War 1 (you do individually) was fun and very real! Excellent place to while away a couple hours especially on a cold day.

I loved this place, especially the Tuatarium (how cool is it to see prehistoric reptiles!?). The bonus was having the curator come out to speak with us and let us pet one of the tuataras.
