Was very keen to see this beautiful iconic original building and campus. New Zealand’s first university. Sorry I did not have more time to stroll around and take in the atmosphere.

Lovely campus to walk round and our guide who had been to the University was able to tell us some interesting stories about the campus. There is some beautiful architecture and also a river running through the campus giving it a lovely outlook. On the...More

An attractive and varied campus, offering top-class scholarship. Can be visited as part of the sightseeing tour from the Octagon.

The buildings are cool, and the campus is one of the most beautiful in the world. But please do not take random pictures of the students without their consent. It is very uncomfortable when a group of Chinese tourists line up their camera while I...More

As a visitor I felt at home, with university-wide internet access, several libraries, decent cafeteria and stunning architecture. The campus tour was interesting and the gardens in autumn so colourful.

It is an old building university in Dunedin. Good for a relaxing walk. Feel back to school. Cool weather in March.

We enjoy visiting college campuses and the University of Otago is very lovely with some beautifully designed buildings. Otago is New Zealand’s oldest university, and Dunedin is small enough that it feels like a true “college town.” If you visit, be sure to end your...More

What a wonderful building, in it's riverside setting, and with it's grand history of successful graduates. The students may get overenthusiastic at times but they come back to earth when they enter the hallowed portals the following day.
