The Museum is a very important place in New Zealand. It is run by Abe Gray, well known activist and cannabis educator. The social club is worth the $4.20 to get inside the VIP room for the full experience. There is nowhere else like this...More

The Whakamana Museum explains in depth the cannabis culture in New Zealand. Abe, the curator, was very knowledgeable about the history l and active in the fight for legalization. A must-see place for its unique presentation.

Whakamana is a terrific stop if you're staying in Dunedin or if you're passing through visit their unique museum.

Curiosity got the better of me, although I approached this unique "tourist attraction" with some reservations.
