A bit far from the tourist area, this cathedral is not frequented by visitors. However, this is most beautiful church in Dunedin in my opinion. With the stunning facade and grand architecture, St Joseph's Cathedral definitely deserves an uphill walk.
Like much of Dunedin, this is a beautifully preserved building which is very easy on the eye. And yet I had never heard anything about it. We came here for Sunday mass and it was just acheingly beautiful.
