This is a lovely cathedral with stunning architectural detail. Dunedin is very fortunate to have so many beautiful buildings!

A beautiful building. Shame that the cross above the altar looked like a pharmacy sign. However, the altar cloth was stunning and worth visiting just to see that.

The Cathedral is a beautiful old building and the colour of the stone really makes it stand out. From the Octagon it is impossible to miss this outstanding structure.

Sitting right on the Octagon this gothic cathedral is open to the public. Take note of the Oamaru stone vault complete with pillars 65 feet high

From the outside looks quite an impressive architecture (European gothic style) and from the inside you acquire a sense of peace and relax.

We had a chance to visit St. Paul’s Church while waiting for our shuttle back to Port Chalmers. The location is right on the Octagon. The climb to the entrance from the street level might be steep for others. Once inside, the church is simple...More

They seem to have an open door policy unlike some of the other churches. There is a donation if you can. The building is easily accessable from the Octagon. Although if you go up Stewart street you can get in with no steps for disabled...More
