A quiet place and time to think about those who lost their lives in the earthquake. A beautiful wall of remembrance alongside the Avon River. Well worth a visit.

Find the right spot fir your photo. Had construction going on during our visit and lots of people around. Not really very special but it is worth the visit to commemorate those who fought for freedom during the two world wars.

Next to the container market you can see this bridge which speaks about New Zealand's history. I found it nice because its architectural style is in clear contrast which the modern office they are building in the surrounding streets. Nice to view.
