With so many earthquake damaged old stone buildings in Christchurch it was refreshing to see the Clock Tower standing majestically on its site. A nice reminder of the past.

While it has some history to it (I am sure) it is just a small clock tower. Surrounded by buildings that are not overly sympathetic to it. If close go and look at it; if not see something else

In walking along the Victoria street toward the city center, we can see old buildings and this clock tower that is very nice to take in picture. The street takes us to the Victoria Square where there is a floral clock and the statue of the Queen Victoria.

We stumbled on the clock tower as we looked for a place to eat one night. We don't know anything about it and I wish we did. Will have to look up its history. It is a very neat clock tower and a local landmark as we heard people on their phones telling people where they were and planning to... More

The tower is quite nice and adds atmosphere to Victoria Street which is otherwise dominated by modern business buildings.

Our son just lived through the earthquake while living at Victoria Mansions just behind this clock. We were so pleased the restoration went well for the clock & hope the same can happen for Vic Mansions

The Victoria Street Clock Tower has an interesting history, having been built in honour of Queen Victoria, moved for a development project, badly damaged in the Feb 2011 Earthquake and now restored. Can't see inside - purely for street viewing.

Commemorating Queen Victoria's Jubilee, this tower has been located in quite a few spots around the city but has been victorious over a number of quakes and still looks majestic. It's about time they restarted the drinking fountain inside.

It's a clock tower on a traffic island. What can I say! It does appear to be well built and obviously historic and may be worth a closer inspection.
