What a lovely botanical park....enjoyed our leisurely stroll, taking in all the beauty. The park is peaceful, well kept, and the amount of botanical wonders are just to numerous to mention. Of course it's hard to imagine a more beautiful natural green space

We stayed right across the street and walked through the park several times to reach the city centre. The park is lovely with so many activities, including a golf course, playing fields, botanicals, punting, exercise stops etc. It felt safe and well used!

A very pleasant walk around the South Park. We walked on the riverside path and appreciated just how clean and well kept the area is for a public space The trees were beautiful and in some cases incredibly tall It sets the standard for other parks in big cities!

Hagley Park is a large and beautiful park in the heart of Christchurch. Great paths with plenty of shade makes this park the ideal venue for a morning walk. Remember your sunscreen, a hat and a water bottle.

If you're in Christchurch, visiting Hagley Park is a must-do, especially on a nice sunny day. Even if you're not planning to visit the park extensively, an iSite Visitor Centre is located just inside the front gates to give you an idea of what you can visit in the city. However, if you do decide to visit the park you... More

It is a good place to escape the city. It has nice running routes. Once around is about 7.5 km. There are some outdoor gym facilities. Puplic toilets are spread across the park.

A good place for an early morning walk before anything else. It's a pretty large park so give yourself a good hour for a slow and nice walk.
