The crater rim walkway circles around all of Christchurch and you have a birds eye view of the city and also Littleton. You can start any point on it if you have a car or take the bus to some main points like the cable...More

What a stunning way to spend a morning. Easy undulating paths with a few gentle climbs but always worth it for the amazing views from the top of the world. We came up Bowenvale track to summit road then made our way along the crater...More

I was amazed by the side tracks stopping places and views that I never realised existed. I enjoyed it but need to be fitter for my next trip there.

This is a great place to make the most of Christchurch's beautiful clear air. You can get a great view of the city and of Govenor's bay. Can get windy. You can do as much or as little of the track as you want.
