Unfortunately we could not step inside because of a funeral took place and could only have a brief look of the inside. The Cardboard...More

Sorry, but this "ain't for we locals"..............you can see the visible deterioration already and it isn't symbolic for Cantabrians. Sorry, but we have visited this once under pressure from a friend visiting, and we cringe every time we drive by it...........this is like plastic Maori...More

This is amazing to see and a great feat of engineering and show of resilience in the aftermath of such an awful disaster in Christchurch. There are lots of volunteers around to talk to and ask questions and there is a shop at the back....More

Church staff were friendly with some sale of souvenirs and church items. Good to see how the unique structure of church was done up.

We came here after seeing the sad sight of the derelict Cathedral in the centre of Christchurch. It's most interesting - a moving tribute to rebuilding a city. Worth a visit.

Not sure why everyone tells you to go see this as it was heavily damaged in the 2011 earthquake and they still haven’t repaired the cathedral. It is fenced off and obviously can’t go in.

The church was built as a temporary home for the congregation from the city cathedral which suffered severe damage in the 2011 earthquakes. It is made of cardboard, steel and wood and was designed by a Japanese architect who had built a similar building in...More

Great place to hold an event. Magestic place to eat dinner and dance the night away. Service was excellent. This place looks great when lit up at night. Enjoyed the great night out.

No, there are no fees, although donations are gratefully accepted as it is estimated that it will cost over $100million to restore the original stone cathedral.
