The visitor centre is a beautiful building and the staff was really helpful and cheerful. She was enthusiastic and was knowledgeable about most stuff. We got all our answers from driving in New Zealand, roads and places to visit.

Would recommend that people talk with these pleasant people about what there is to see and do in Christchurch. It is quite sad to see that it is taking a long time to get the city back after the earthquake.

Hi, Me and my husband have one day in Christchurch (6/10). I have already booked the antartica centre so will be going there as soon as they open. I am thinking of proceeding to the city centre after this before I check into my hotel on Papanui Road. I don't have a vehicle. Can you please suggest places I can visit on foot. Thanks
