This is an amazing dinning experience where you are made to feel special all the way through service. The food is just fabulous, and sitting in the garden on a beautiful sunny day just topped off our experience. Our return is already planned.

Stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from locals who live in nearby Rangiora. Turns out they were well informed. Comfortably the best food we've eaten thus far during 2 weeks of holidaying in New Zealand. Lovely location & architecture, staff at the top of their game & not too expensive given the quality of a very nice meal. Go... More

We and four friends visited for lunch on a cold and wet Sunday two weeks ago, the fire in the dinning room made it warm and cosy. The staff were very welcoming and helpful from the wine tasting to knowledge of the menu. The food was fantastic and the wine was a great compliment to the food. We will be... More

the setting is a bit bizarre .. a pink concrete faux châteaux with the restaurant a bit of a 70s throwback... lots of heavy wood... however the food is heavenly! goats cheese with smoke beetroot and pork ballotine with crispy pigs ear (yes that's right... best crackling ever... delicate and light) as starters... both stellar ... on a par with... It had been a number of years since my last visit to Peg Bay so with fond memories, we headed there for lunch on a cold and wet Sunday afternoon. If anything, it has improved; the menu offerings and service were delightful, and the wine outstanding. We were seated upstairs with a wonderful vista overlooking the sloping lawns and small... We stopped in on our drive from Kaikoura to Christchurch. The place was rockin! The restaurant (which I heard was delicious) was full but the wine tasting room only had a few people in it when we got there. The staff were fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the experience and would love to go back for lunch or dinner sometime!... More

We stopped at Pegasus Bay for a wine tasting. Set off SH1 the winery and gardens are stunning. We were greeted by a friendly sommelier who took us through the tasting. The tasting was relaxed and informative, typical Waipara style. The wines, that we had previously drunk in the UK were still of the highest standard. The late harvest Riesling... More
