Segways are so much fun and Christchurch, with its great bicycle infrastructure, is an excellent place to give them a go. We visited Riccarton House (with the farmers market doing a roaring trade) and Mona Vale. Graeme's knowledge of the history of these areas made the morning very interesting as well as fun. Thanks for a great tour Graeme.

Thanks for your great feedback! A very enjoyable tour. As you said - to the Farmers Market at Riccarton House - a bustling fun stop to get food and have a look around on a Saturday morning. Before setting off to Mona Vale a snippet of history was imparted about the Deans' family life and times. Mona Vale's fernery was... More

My wife and I were really pleased to do this activity right at the start of our Christchurch visit. Graeme is a great ambassador for the place and answered our many questions. We've done Segways once before but never felt as confident as we did under Graeme's guidance. Some people say these are intuitive but I think you still need... More

Thank you for your great review. We did the "History Tour"; on a Saturday morning there is a Farmers Market at Riccarton House so we called in on that grabbed a coffee and heard about the Deans family and the very early days of Christchurch's existence. On to Mona Vale and to visit the Rose Garden (still has blooms) and... More

A great day! 4 of us, including Guernsey friends, had heaps of fun on the segways (including races at the end of our tour!). The segways are very easy to ride and Graeme, our guide, made the training easy. He gave us a great commentary and we went to many nooks and crannies in Christchurch to see progress on the... More

Graeme does a very good tour. He is very safety conscious before you set off. We had a historical tour. Graeme knows his history and makes the tour fun and interesting. We would recomend it to anyone who wants to see the real Christchurch.

As you have noted we did the History Tour visiting Riccarton House and Mona Vale. We visited the oldest surviving building in Canterbury (The Deans' Cottage) and heard about the early life and times of the Deans' family and their farm in Riccarton the first European settled area of Christchurch. Onward to Mona Vale to smell the Roses, visit the... More

What a terrific way to tour Christchurch. First of all Graeme was an excellent instructor and ensured we could all 'glide' our Segway's comfortably before setting off, even for someone who's never been on one before and is slightly nervous. His knowledge of Christchurch, and informed and colourful explanations of the earthquake and rebuilding brought the city to life. The... More

Thanks for your feedback. We did the rebuild Tour with a coffee stop, met the Christchurch Wizard and had lots more with fun along the way, while checking out Christchurch Central's ever-changing streetscape. More

Our group of six friends toured with Graeme today. This was the first day of our vacation in New Zealand. What a great way to start! We learned a lot about Christchurch, the earthquake and reconstruction, and toured Mona Vale gardens which we absolutely loved. This was the first time for five of us to ride a Segway. We appreciated... More

Thank you for your wonderful feedback & lightening quick review! As mentioned we did the "Combo" tour stopping in Cathedral Square to enjoy a coffee. With the main points around our rebuild covered, we headed out to Mona Vale for a look at the grounds, Homestead, Rose Garden and Fernery. It was a really fun Tour, thanks for your company... More

This was an excellent tour to explore the city of Christchurch. Graeme customised the tour to suit out needs, as we were on a time constraint. He pushed the tour 30mins forward so we could get the best experience possible. The training was very well done and he made sure everyone felt comfortable and in control before we took off.... More

Thank you for your feedback. We did the rebuild Tour and the challenge as stated was to properly do the Tour and be back to base by the agreed time as there was a plane to catch. We did the full tour with all highlights including a dance at the "Dance-O-Mat". We even managed a race at the end. See... More

We wanted to do different things all holidays so we cycled to Fox glacier, water taxied in Abel Tasman, kayaked in Milford Sound and Segway'ed in Christchurch. And we are so glad we did! Initially Christchurch looked like a ghost town, but through a different lens we got to see the possibilities. Graeme taught us the basics of the machine... More

We started off the tour with a 30 minute training session on the Segway's where we learnt from graham how to operate the Segway. Thank you for your review and kind comments. The great thing about a Segway Tour is that the whole family want to do it because it has that sort of universal appeal. See you next time! More
