This review is solely about the restaurant and recommended accompanying wines. Obviously they showcase local produce. They have platters from breads/oils to mixed platters of chutneys, cheese pickles and charcuterie, seafood etc., Starters start from 17.00 for home made soups through to prawn salads at 23.00 We started with the breads and oil, sukkah and seasonal dips. It was just... More

Sadly disappointing. Food was good, wines, of course, very good. But a bland impersonal mass-produced feel about the experience. We called ahead to make a reservation. Phone went through to message bank, so we left a detailed message and asked for a call back. None came. We turned up to find that our booking had not been recorded. Senior staffer... More

Stopped by here as part of a cruise excursion. The facility is very nice and there are good views up on the porch. There are grape vineyards all around you. We did a tasting in the downstairs barrel room and that was a good setting for our group.

We met friends from Nelson and toured a very small part of the Marlborough wine district. Wither Hills is highly rated so it was a sure stop. Most of the wines we tried were sauvignon blanc or Pinot Noir. I must admit to a bias as we are from one of California's premier wine regions, but the wines were nothing... More

Very nice wines for wasting in a beautiful building. $5 pp for tasting 5 wines. We bought a.bottle and they waived two of the tasting fees.

What a venue with some of the best 360 degree views in the region! Would make a fantastic wedding venue. The food and wines were fantastic but what really set this place apart was the service. I took my elderly mother for lunch and was greeted by the manager, Rupert who was so welcoming and accommodating. We were talking about... More

Wither Hills is a beautiful winery with all the amenities. It is a fabulous building with a lovely terrace overlooking the vines and a great tasting room. The wine isn't overpriced at the cellar door like at some wineries and their sav blanc and pinot gris is outstanding. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and happy for us to have... More

First stop on our bus tour around the Marlborough region. Great Pinot Gris and a great Sav/blanc. The bread platter was fantastic. Well worth a visit to this modern winery.

Visited a week ago with Sounds Connection tour. They had accepted too many tours and visitors and the place was packed. The poor staff were juggling groups around the hosting spaces and were clearly overwhelmed by the numbers. Avoid busy times and if the carpark is full find another place as you will be unlikely to get a satisfying experience.... More
