I arrive at the front gate to pay the entry fee, there was no one there and an honesty box operating, which is a bit difficult if you don’t have the right change. Purpose of the visit was to use the tracks to get up...More

We visited the organic dairy farm here, which was amazing. The organic raw milk was absolutely delicious! There is a wonderful playground for the kids to play at, including flying foxes. We will definitely be back again

Judging from previous reviews, many visitors walk no further than Big Rock along the valley bottom. But if you have a couple of hours to spare, it's well worth climbing to one of the upper tracks for fantastic views. The most panoramic stretch we found...More

We are regular visitors to Orton Bradley Park but had not explored the walkways and mountain bike tracks in recent years. We got a fantastic surprise when we did on New Years Day - the tracks are easy to navigate, they meander alongside a beautiful...More

Fantastic day trip half an hour from Christchurch. Beautiful grounds, stream, super playground and bike track. There are so many areas you can set up and explore. Large park like setting with toilets and camping facilities. Pack the insect spray just in case.

We went here on our last day in New Zealand and walked to Big Rock. Nice escape from the big city of Christchurch and plenty of room to park your motor home.

This is a great place for camping, day picnicking and mountain walks. It is privately owned so an entry fee per car of $10 - so don't be alarmed. Small but lush gardens, plenty of space for kids to run around with a fun mini...More

Recommend driving there over Dyers Pass, then around the harbor to Orton Bradley. Scenic drive only about 45 minutes from the city center. Typical kiwi scenery. Narrow, winding roads, must take your time particularly in winter. After passing through Teddington, the road meanders through a...More
