Very nice little beach right by the heart of the city. Easy to park there and walk to downtown for anything. Ocean view with mountains - beautiful! Take a walk by the sea or go for a swim, either way this place offers beautiful views...More

Great place to go for a fantastic waterfront walk. Softish sand and a beautiful drive along the bays which joins with Evans Bay. The large conifers are always lit at night as if it's Xmas and make a lovely night wander.

Made a big mistake. Decided to have a walk around Oriental Bay from the museum was really disappointed as there had been a dog walk & the amount of dog poo left behind where people had to walk on the path was disgusting. My granddaughter...More

There are always people to watch, boats coming and going, dogs taking humans for walks regardless of what you are doing. It is actuallly a really attractive promenade in a big city.

A lovely run / walk along the promenade, nicely lit up in the evening and particularly nice on a friday evening with some fish and chips from mount vic chippie round the corner.

One of Wellington's Crown Jewels. Whether you want some serious exercise or more feel like a meander or a coffee, ice cream or wine this Bay is for you. Enjoy stunning views of Wellington City and a busy harbour in action.

Great little beach where you can sit and have a picnic on or off the sand. Lots of passers by so lots to look at, on the promenade or in the water. Nice spot to swim.

As a result of taking son to airport for an early morning flight - we took the opportunity of an early morning walk along the bay. Very pleasant with runners and walkers out and about. Watching the sun raise over the distant hills behind the...More

In 2017, the fact that there is a clean (both water and sand) beach in an urban area like Wellington is a true tribute to New Zealand's respect for the environment. The 1920s bath house has been renovated and converted into a restaurant - where...More
