Good spot to have a bite to eat and drink from the food truck. Great place for dog walking. Entertaining people watching spot. Plenty of surfers in the water but slow going.

One of the nicest beach in Wellington. The sunsets are usually stunning. If you like surfing it is the only good spot in Wellington!

Close to the airport, Lyall Bay has cafes and kids playgrounds and you can watch planes takeoff and land at Wellington airport from the beach. Close to the airport retail precinct as well for shopping, and Bunnings nearby.
