Flew down to Wellington for the WOW show. Visited Te Papa and Wellington museum. Both are amazing and entry is free. The cafe at Te Papa is very good and reasonably priced.

We visited before the Great War exhibition at Te Papa and found the exhibitions lackluster. This museum was interestingly laid out and had lots of fantastic information.

Too much to see in just one morning or afternoon! Many interesting displays on multiple levels. Food, drinks and souvenirs available on site, great for a rainy day!

Was nice experience and it was amazing to see the different sculptures which looked almost real and it was very interesting to see. It had the history of the soldiers and their fight and how they spent their life during the period of war

One of the best museums I'm New Zealand. The entry fee is free and exhibitions were amazing. Very educational and entertaining.

This museum was recommended to us by staff at the hotel we were staying at. Glad we visited. This place is filled with wonderful New Zealand history. The building is beautiful. Fun for all ages especially the attic.

Very enjoyable museum in a beautiful historic Wellington building. We really enjoyed the Attic exhibition. Lots for everyone to enjoy

I definitely think that the Wellington Museum is worth a visit if you live in Wellington or visit often...if I was a tourist and I didn't have a lot of time, I would give it a miss and visit Te Papa instead. The Wellington Museum...More

This museum has gone backwards since it has changed direction. It was world class marine museum that was a winner with locals and tourist alike. The marine history has been replaced by so much rubbish it is a disappointment.

A free attraction, with a lot of things to know about Wellington... Social, economic or politic... to discover for understanding a little more about the life and the development of the city, the citizens. A good spot, next to the sea...
