    Honey..everywhere..
The place where you can find a lot of varieties of Honey! You can even taste them before you buy and the staff explains the difference of their range. Lots of other things to buy like hand creme, soap, vitamins, liquors, and all of them were made from..Honey. There’s also a bee farm outside but we haven’t got enough time to visit the bees. Recommended to have 2hr for this place so you can enjoy an hour for Honey shopping, maybe 30mins at the bee farm, and the last 30mins possibly to relax and eat ice cream.

Check it out if you're near Huka Falls
There are a number of interesting things to do around the Huka Falls and it's worth stopping at this attraction for a few minutes. It's a combination of educational facility and retail outlet. Lot's of cute products and interesting information - and a whole wall of bees to inspect.
Thanks a buzzillion for the awesome review! You're right - we are crazy about bees! There is lots to see and do here and lots to learn about the amazzzing honey bee! Thanks for stopping in :-)

Really helpful staff and the video about the bees was actually fascinating! My husband and I both found it really interesting and also the bee gives you could see all the bees hard at work! Very educational

The Huka Honey Hive is such a brilliant place to visit and what's more, it's free! For the amount of information and things to see it really is a gem.

There's a lovely garden outdoors with a few picnic benches, live bee viewing (both outside to see the hives and the bees flying around, and inside to see the honeycomb etc.) It's essentially a museum for all things bee/honey that runs all down one side of the centre - or hive! There's a corner especially for children to learn about bees and relax while watching Bee themed tv/films - Bee Movie was playing when we were there. But there's lots for adults to see and learn about also, including

The rest of the space is a shop where you can buy everything from honey, mead, beauty products (including lots made with honey), candles - a lot of beeswax ones at that, souvenirs, Kiwiana, chutneys and more. You can also taste the honey and mead. Dotted around the shop is plenty more bee info and decorations. They also have a café, toilets and an ice-cream counter where you can try some NZ ice-cream with some of the most beloved flavours like Hokey-Pokey, Boysenberry and Feijoa and pear sorbet (which I tried).

Outdoors there's a photo stand (as pictured in my photos) where you can take some fun snaps!

The staff are also all so incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My dad and I stopped for a lovely chat with a few of them and one of the owners.

If you're in the Taupo region, do not miss the huka honey hive.

Tea was served without milk quite disappointing. For $4.50 you would expect some milk to go with the tea. Lady who served us was away with the faries. Shop was disorganized. Staff pushy to sell the alcohol.

On a rainy day, we did not exactly know where to go, so we chose the honey as a place to visit.
We were so happy we did that. Of course, there was not much to do outside, but inside was a treat.
So much information.
We ended up staying there for more than 2 hours.
And the one thing that we discovered there... the BEST honey and fig ice cream ever.
I'm sure this is also a nice place for kids, but we had a good time there for sure
