Don't bother. The silica terrace is fake. They advertise a Maori village, but it's just a collection of buildings - no people, descriptions or anything else. We were there for about 15 minutes and left. If you want to swim in warm water, go ahead. If you want to see a real geothermal park, go down the highway to Orakei... More

Hoped into the thermal spa and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very peaceful and tranquil as we soaked up all the minerals in the thermal pools. We went for a walk to check out the steam and the local geyser. Great way to relax and unwind.

Treat yourself. It's not the best promoted of locations but the warm silica bathing pools are well worth $25 for the experience. Five pools of various temperatures. The warmest plus 40 degrees. I was dragged there by my wife who was keen to try it but it was me that was dragged out!! Extremely relaxing! And almost deserted when we... More

Definitely worth spending a couple of hours here. Just out of Taupo. Welcoming staff and very relaxing thermal pools in pleasant surroundings.

I loved that no kids are allowed but I found the temperature in the pools was all very different. There was extremely hot and cold but no inbetween. Good service. Worth a visit.

Came here on a Monday. Very quiet..perfect! Four different temperature pools. The guy at the desk was very welcoming. Would recommend this over other thermal pools. Very well priced. Will definitely be back and try the massage

Bought at discounted rate at grabone, $7 for the terrace walk and $12 for the pool. For the terrace walk, nothing much to see except for the man-made terrace, which look quite fake. They are working on building more attraction, however I wouldn't recommend to go with the full fare $15 to see some man made stuff. The pool is... More

This is a great pool to visit near Taupo. Has four level of hot pools and reasonably priced if bought through some deals. The walk part is not much worth for money and if you are in pool then you get the view of the geyser. This is a great pool to visit near Taupo. Has four level of hot... More

If you want a good relax in the 3 thermal pools of varying heat levels without kids (I have 3 and love them to bits) running around yahooing, then definitely go here. I enjoyed the quiet time and a bit of catch up time with the girls from work. The walk is leisurely and if you get to experience the... More

Since discovering these beautiful hot pools, we never miss a visit when in Taupo. They are quiet and in a gorgeous outdoor setting and just plain top notch. They also do a seniors discount if asked. Staff are lovely and friendly and very welcoming.
