Educational tour about prawns and how to catch them. You get to catch and keep whatever you catch. You can take it home or the chef can cook on site.

Was fun trying to catch a prawn only to discover the are tasteless! Don't bother with the restaurant $50 for a half kilo of overcooked prawns is a complete rip off! Go to the fish shop and don't waste your money here! If I could rate them separately I'd give the prawn catching a 4 and the restaurant a 2... More

Hi there, Thanks for visiting and leaving a review. Prawn fishing certainly is lots of fun, it can be very addictive! Our prawns are fresh water prawns and some people are used to eating salt water prawns. Perhaps this is why you found the prawns tasteless. It all comes down to personal preference. It’s great to hear that you experienced... More

I took my 6 year old to try catch some prawns. We ended up catching 4 of them in about an hour and a half. It was good fun. Definitely worth checking out.

Hours can be spent at the Huka Prawn farm. The key is to be very patient - forget what you know about fishing when it comes to catching prawns. Younger kids may tend to lose interest if they don't catch anything - however there are plenty of activities for them to do like trout fishing, mini boat rides and kids... More

A fun way to fill in an afternoon. Although we didn't catch him anything this time it was still great fun! We ended up leaving hubby to it and headed to the resturant for a cold drinks and watch the jet fly by on the Huka Falls.

Love coming here on the odd weekend for lunch, menu could do with a few more cheaper prawn dishes such as a tasting sample that they used to have. But in saying that, it's still great and always busy
