I hadn't been to the Brooklands Zoo for decades and going back was brilliant. Yes it's small but it's free, donations gratefully accepted, but so safe and enjoyable for young and old. Watching the various species of monkey, wandering through the bird aviary, the barn area all heaps of fun. The keepers are very friendly and take time to explain... More

With a free admission, alongside a variety of different animals you can enjoy, whilst you can have an enjoyable picnic with a play area for kids. This place is defiantly a place for a family day out. And let's not forget that it's clashed with Pukekura Park, so a day full of adventures and fun for all.

For a free zoo this place is pretty darn good. Farm animals, monkeys, meercats, an exotic bird house..... pop in here while visiting pukekura/Brooklands.

With my family a picnic lunch the adults can sit on the seats under the trees and my younger cousin and siblings can go on the playground and run around the zoo and have fun. Very safe fenced all around, very small can... More

Brooklands Zoo is a fully enclosed site, where small children can view an interesting collection of animals, and, observed by their parents can play safely play on the playground equipment.
