Fed the tigers - awesome

Took my teenage daughter to the zoo today and paid the extra for the tiger feeding. From the enjoyment on her face it's was worth the extra money to be up close with the tigers... read more

Went here with 2 & 4 year old children on a Friday afternoon. Dry quiet, and overall of some concern. Some very big Asian and African animals confined to rather small spaces, in some cases limited further by rainfall. Kids seemed to like it so would probably go back if asked.

Visited with our toddler and he had a great time as he could get reasonably close. Also enjoyed being able to feed some of the animals. A little concerned a few of the cages are a bit small, especially for the monkeys. It's certainly not a large zoo, but a pleasant visit. Ring ahead if the weather is questionable as... More

I was very surprised that this zoo had won a TripAdvisor award. I'm not sure what for exactly. To me personally it was the type of zoo that I would have compared to the 'chimp tea parties' back in its day. Small enclosures and in no relation to what their natural habitat should look like. A very sobering experience.

It is a small zoo. We came mainly for the monkey and tiger encounters (feeding), which are extra. The feedings allow you to get close to the animals. The monkeys take food from your hand. There are also goats and the like to feed by just buying a bag of food. But...Didn't expect parking to be so difficult. Didn't expect... More

Took my teenage daughter to the zoo today and paid the extra for the tiger feeding. From the enjoyment on her face it's was worth the extra money to be up close with the tigers. Beautiful cats and well looked after. Asked my daughter how she liked it and she said it was awesome. Also waited for the main tiger... More

Have been several times over a decade, and must say this time it seemed tired- needing a bit of paint and a clean up. I'd say a farrier needs to have a look at those Mini ponies hooves. One in particular didn't look good. Kids enjoyed looking at the animals and feeding them as we walked about. Has definitely seen... More

OMG - where do I start... having been to this so many times over the years - seeing it run down and the animals in so poor condition. What a waste of money and time. $16 per adult and $3.50 for food for the animals. Not worth the trip. Will never return as so bad 😔. SPCA needs to check... More

This place seems clean and well-run, and I love to enjoy animal life. This one gave me a chance to do the animal equivalent of "forest bathing" in the midst of a busy trip. Just watching wildlife living their lives gives us all a needed blood pressure normalization. We stop drowning in adrenalin for 10 minutes or a few hours.... More

The tigers were cool to see and the lions too, it gave the feeling it was a farmyard with a few really wild animals thrown in. Its obviously run on a volunterr bases so was great to see but sadly it was a bit run down too. Still a good visit though

We took our children (aged 12 and 10) here as they had been asking about it for some time. Unfortunately, they were so depressed by what they saw one of them ended up crying. The animals looked bored, lonely and isolated. The grounds were overgrown, the enclosures looked old and neglect. There was some shabby garden furniture lying around which... More
