The exterior is amazing but interior exhibits can be disappointing. Lots of videos in which I am not interested.

The building could house so much more art work but there is so much wasted space it is unbelievable. My favourite Len Lye Exhibit, The Three Fountains, seems to be hardly ever there much to my diasppointment so I no longer take my visitors there....More

Wonderful building on the outside, great gift shop. But the exhibitions are not extensive enough to be there for very long. Big spaces with little to see was the takeaway.

This gallery was lobbied for by one man and his friends. What a tremendous waste of ratepayers' money - there are only four exhibits and they are rubbish. If the council want more then they have to pay for more 'art' works to be built....More

This is a Gallery not to be missed when visiting New Plymouth. It is in the centre of town and easy to access on foot or by car.

What a gem, had a walk around the gallery and enjoyed the art on display and for me personally enjoyed the building itself! What sealed the deal was the family art set up which you could join in for free and also a few movies...More

I think the most amazing thing about the gallery is the building itself. Hopefully you visit on a beautiful sunny day to really appreciate it - I enjoyed the exhibitions inside and they had a few live experiences which were fun but I am in...More

The outside of this building is truely amazing - kids and adults alike enjoyed seeing different reflections of themselves in the mirror like walls - artwork lacking and uninspiring - maybe we are just uncultured but we just did not 'get it'! Staff lovely, enthusiastic...More

The galleries in the GB had a range of very strange exhibitions - modern art at some of its most outrageous, which makes you wonder whether they actually paid money for them. Just not for me!

It is worth going just for the building, an amazing space. I must say the content was a little lacking. One of the spaces was closed as it was in between exhibitions, so that could account for the fact, that there just wasn't much to...More

Very interesting and educational place for adults and children alike, friendly and informative staff, with lots of knowledge about the creative Len lye artwork. Different style of architecture, nice place to relax and learn something new. Art is definitely within the eye of the beholder
