This place is worth a visit. Very quiet when we were there. I would recommend the private spa pool, but the other pools are also excellent. The place is a credit to the people who built it and who run it. The staff are great and very helpful. The eco-walk to the incredible thermal spring source is a must-do and... More

We went here twice during our stay in Rotorua. It's a bit out of town, but worth it as it's quite a lovely setting, and good value at $16.50 for an adult. The pools are very relaxing, especially on a cool rainy day. Facilities are good, with showers and change rooms, and a small cafe. A nice way to end... More

We loved this place - we also stayed at the campsite - so easy for a morning and evening dip. The walk is great from the hot pools showing what they have to do to cool the hot water down so that you are able to bathe. Beautiful spot.

Our family was having a great time. It was not crowded. It was the perfect place but had one problem. In the description, it said that there were 6 pools. We went and looked everywhere but only found 4 pools. We finally found the last 2 pools. Those last 2 pools were only big enough for 2 people. Plus, they... More

Spending the afternoon at Waikite Thermal Pools was relaxing and frankly just what I needed after being on the go for so many days. This complex is so well appointed and managed, I can't say enough good things about it. The springs were not high in sulphur - so the just smelled fresh and pleasant. This is my preference, so... There are other option in Rotorua but we really want to try this one because it was cheaper to private thermal pools...it is almost 20km from Rotorua. It was ok, the staff friendly and there are restaurante/cafeteria there. The only problem is get a place to park the car.

What a way to spend a Monday morning avoiding the rush hour traffic. We spent a couple of hours relaxing in the thermal pools, enjoying the panoramic views from two of the pools, while contemplating our travels. We arrived there as it opened about 10 ish and there was only a handful of people there. The staff were very friendly... More

A relaxing set of thermal pools without the hordes from tourist buses. A haven for a few hours relaxation in a natural setting. Has a small cafe, clean change rooms and is run by nice people. I would take the pleasant drive out here every time.

The option of a private pool with a green view, adjustable heat, private shower and change room was a well priced feature. There were a few different shared pools. The water is exchanged frequently without the heavy chlorine additions giving a more mineral experience to assist the recovery of tired muscles and joints. We didn't stop for lunch as the... More
