Famous for a reason, Skyline Rotorua is your ticket to an unforgettable holiday.

Begin your day with a tranquil Gondola ride up Mt Ngongotaha overlooking Lake Rotorua then wind your way down via the Luge or if you prefer to descend by mountain bike, weave your way through one of the newly created Gravity Park trails.

Get the adrenalin pumping even more on the Zoom Zipline and the Sky Swing. Or for a more relaxed approach take a stroll through the stunning nature trails with informative and interactive panels along the way.

Left feeling a little peckish? Head to the Food Market Kitchen or the Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar to fuel up again. While you’re there, why not also pop into the Volcanic Hills Wine Tasting Room and Winery while the kids explore the Jelly Belly Gallery and Store.

Finish the day with an out-of-this world experience during Skyline’s Stargazing tour. It’ll have you exploring constellations and discovering planets invisible to the naked eye, at one of the top eight stargazing locations in New Zealand.

The Skyline Rotorua complex is just 5 minutes’ drive from central Rotorua, sitting atop Mt Ngongotaha providing unsurpassed views of New Zealand’s coolest hot spot. This is an all-weather must do attraction suitable for all ages. Open 365 days a year from 9am to late.

Every time we come to NZ we make a point of stopping here for a few runs, great fun for all ages with 3 different tracks of different speeds and difficulties, you can also take your little ones on with you too. Not the cheapest for what it us but always worth it. You also get an exciting gondola ride... More

My husband went here in a date night and I got a twilight deal for a gondola, zipline and 5 luge rides. I loved going in the evening- but wrap up warm. You see the city by day and then by night on a summer eve. I was a bit apprehensive about the luge at first and just wanted to... More

Great place with great views. We went late in the day and were disappointed as when the advanced track got shut down as it didn't have good enough lighting. If this is an issue it should be fixed and lit up. I've paid the full amount so I expect the full experience.

Normally the holidays mean queues and waiting but this was not the case. No lines to get tickets or go on the luge. Luge was a hit with the kids. 10 yr old did it with ease.

We visited Skyline during the busy New Year holidays. Queues were horrendous, but that was expected given that Queenstown was booked out. The views from the viewing deck are with the visit. The two luge courses are great, if a bit overpriced (compared to Sentosa Island for example). However, the lower age/heigh limit for solo riders is too low. Our... More

Gondola ride, luge rides and restaurant offer full day family fun. Gets very busy on weekends especially the longer ones, so try on a working day.

We visited for the morning whilst holidaying. We had so much fun! Brought a family entry which included 10 rides on the luge, which we shared out. The kids absolutely loved it! The views were amazing! Would come back again if we were to visit Rotorua.

We took the Gondola ride for a champagne breakfast - this was excellent, a huge choice of food with very little queuing. Then we enjoyed the luge. I wasn't sure what to expect of the luge but I loved it. The only slight downside for someone who doesn't like heights was the return back to the top. However, it's a... More

Spent an excellent afternoon with our children ages 7 & 8 luging down the tracks. There are two track options which gives you variety and spreads the crowds out. Can get very busy but is totally worth it. We went down the faster tracks but did like the scenic or beginne track as it took 4.5 minutes. We had some... More

Absolutely brilliant fun. Ride to the top of the mount was great with fab views. Then the luge run was so much fun. There are three runs (beginners, intermediate and advanced) recommend trying all three. Quick tip if you ride after 6:30 pm you get extra free luge runs thrown in.
