We popped over the road from the luge to view this attraction. Another revisit from my childhood. Good attraction for a couple or family. The aviary is cool with a good variety of birds. I can recommend the ride too .... and you don't get too wet.... not really....

Came here to do the kiwi behind the scenes with my 6 year old. Saw a 2 day old kiwi up close... very cool. Great place to be on a sunny day as there is heaps of shade and free spring water. My daughter also loved the bird show, which showcased some beautiful and intelligent birds. Can come and go... More

Really impressed with the facilities, nice and relaxing stroll with lots to learn about native flora and fauna and some not so native. The Big Splash ride is really well done and the additional Kiwi Encounter is a must.

The park has lots to offer. Education and fun all in one! Be sure to go on the Big Splash ride. It's not too scary so almost everyone could go on it. There's a great commentary as you ride....and I've never been in a boat elevator before!!! Lots on offer in the gift shop too.

(we can understand this and let it go and went else were) the next... More

Though the entrance fee was a little to pricy, it was well-worth the visit. Many pretty different bird and reptile species to spot in their enclosures. Fun to spot all the camouflaging reptiles as well as take a break at the open pond and stare at the ducks, swan, and a few eels in there. The park had a water... More

This was an extremely interesting visit in that we were able to visit the nursery where baby kiwis were being raised. The explanation was fascinating. They do lots of good work here.

The visit started with the Kiwi Encounter Tour and the first part was an explanation of the threats to the Kiwis, the types of Kiwis (this centre specialised in the Brown Kiwi) and a visit to the breeding centre. In the breeding centre we were shown 2 very young Kiwis being fed. Just outside in a darkened area we saw... More

Be aware, that they try to use the creditcard ripoff as they ask in which currency you would like to pay. I paid 80$ instead of 72.
