Very nice waterfall which people can get close to at the top and the bottom. Very easy to get to from Paihia.

Not much water flowing when we busted but it was easy to get to and a short distance from the waterfall. Chooks and chicks in the park.

Seems access is only through private property. Falls as falls go were not great, but I took a picture (from afar) to say I had been.

We biked there which took ages. The falls themselves were nice but a bit underwhelming in size and rushing of water. It’s nice but I wouldn’t call it a ‘must do’

Beautiful falls in a picturesque location. If coming from Paihia, you can make a pleasant circular journey, walking or cycling along the scenic but hilly Kerikeri Road and then turning off to the Falls, then going back to Paihia via the Waitangi Treaty grounds.

We hiked from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to Haruru Falls. The hike is about 5 km (3 miles) one way. It is a relatively flat trail through forest which includes an interesting raised boardwalk through mangroves. The Falls themselves are pretty but not mind-blowing --...More

Nice change of scenery & only 5 -10 mins away from Centre of Paihia. Plenty of water flowing under the bridge today to spill over the rocks to make a nice waterfall. Cascades down the short slope, sounds lovely as it rushes & gurgles away....More

Definitely much nicer falls to visit in the Summer. Easy to access and a little busy. It was a bit small and seemed a bit smelly.

Not much to see in the summer as the river is so calm above the falls that families were just strolling about. Easily acessible within a short distance of the town

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
