A beautiful walk from the parking to the falls. A large parking area is available with gorgeous friendly chooks meandering freely around. The Falls themselves are lovely and can be viewed from different viewpoints. A worthwhile detour when travelling between Auckland and the Bay of...More

Interesting place as it is middle of suburbia. Interesting thing was the car park was surrounded by chickens and roosters who were kinda trying to get friendly with the travellers.!!

There are 2 ways to get to the falls. We took the carpark near the falls which only required a 3 minute walk to get to the lookout on the top right side of the falls. You can stand near the falls and get a...More

I loved Haruru Falls. I hiked there from the hiking trail that starts near Waitangi. It was the perfect cherry on top! Very unique and peaceful experience

It's not easily accessible. You may need to hire a taxi from the city. A round trip is around $40. There are no guard rails around the falls. If you are travelling

The falls are maybe not the prettiest but they pack a good roaring punch. Well worth the 200 metre detour of the road for quick look and photo. If you have time and reasonable shoes there is a great walk through to Waitangi treaty grounds,...More

I like the horse shoe shape of the water fall. Short walk from the car park, needing not too much effort. We saw chickens free roaming around the park too!

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
