We took the car and parked at the falls and then walked down river for a few miles. This is an easy hike and very pretty. I highly recommend it if you are not looking very strenuous I hiking experience.

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
