We found these falls after a few wrong turns and they were really lovely. It was a very wet day so we didn’t hang around long

We visited the falls in kayaks, going up river with the tides. Saw some great shore birds, shags, herons, kingfishers. We were there the day before Waitangi Day, Feb 6. National holiday celebrating the treaty between English and Maori. The native tribes were all there...More

After all the rain the last few day the falls were brown. Not too exciting but still epic. A tonne of water so pretty amazing. Got chased down by a crazy rooster.

They are easy to get to and there is a number of walks around it and to it. They were flowing well with lots of water making them very exciting.

Waterfall was in full flood after days of heavy rain. A great experience due to the heavy rainfall. When there is not much to do or experience in the Bay of Islands on a rainy day head for the waterfalls.

There are a lot of things to do in the Bay of Islands area. With so many attractions on the sea, I suppose the Harare Falls gets missed by a lot of travellers. However, there are beautiful if not magnificent and if you have some...More

We visited the Falls which are a short distance from the Bay of Islands area. There is a small carpark nearby and a short walk to the falls. With little recent rain in the area the falls were not particularly impressive at this time of...More

Easy access, good sized waterfall and mangroves a short walk away. This is well worth the stop and is quite the site if you are in the area.

a short walk from the car park takes you to the waterfall, which was very nice! not a large waterfall, but still very nice to photograph. if you have a few extra minutes in the area, it is worth the short drive from Paihia.

No overnight camping at the car park that I could see when visited last week. There is the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground on Puketona Road, perhaps look up their website if you’re still interested in a paid camp site...
