Nice holiday spot with the quintessential feel of a tourist town. Pretty in the morning with the morning sun and central.

Plenty to do here, a lovely town with lots of restaurants to choose from, night life was great and looked awesome all lit up at night. Stayed 2 nights here, but would like to go back for longer.

Great for boaties, fishermen and general sightseeing. The Bay of Islands has everything. Dolphins chasing the boat, The Hole in the Rock trip was excellent, and a visit to the quaint town across the harbour from Paihia was very interesting.

it's nice enough, you can do lot's of amazing things here, but by itself there's not much going on if you're low on cash.

Sorry we were not there for New Years Eve - spent it in Auckland. Great fireworks there from the Sky Tower building!
