We arrived there expecting to see the waterfall and the 'lake' same like we saw in the pictures but it was dry like hell. Nothing to see.

Visited for a wander and to enjoy the waterfall but we were disappointed to find that the waterfall and ponds and streams (man-made) were not working and was bone dry. It definitely detracted from the experience but obviously due to the water shortage this summer!...More

A very enjoyable walk either by itself or on the way up to the Bluff Hill Lookout. It is small and serene with very pretty plantings.

We had walked by here once before returning to actually spend time in the gardens. The pond in the center was completely dry, so there were no waterfalls either. NZ is having a prolonged drought. This was disappointing, but the array of flowers and well...More

Centennial garden is located in an old quarry and has good structure but looks like the council hasn't;t put much money into it for a while. Could become better with care.

Right in the middle of town we found this place by pure chance. There's even a real waterfall and lots of beautiful flowers.

Short visit or could take a picnic. Nice little park with flowers and a waterfall. Free activities are always a plus!

From the visitor centre you can walk or drive along Marine Parade towards the port of Napier and turn left into Coote Road. Centennial Gardens is on the right with the prison a little further on the left
