Feed the red pandas and the Lemurs, meet the Rhino. Amazing experiences at the Hamilton Zoo. Awesome team of keepers. A wonderful way to spend a few hours, with plenty to see. Lots of fun to do over and over again.
The location is great. Very easy to navigate around the zoo. The playground for kids was great and heaps of places to sit and relax along the way. Very peaceful. Great selection of animals to see and adore. Very tidy. I liked this one better...More

This zoo is on the outskirts of the city, set in a lovely valley. I especially enjoyed the keeper talks. You can see both New Zealand and exotic species here. As the zoo covers a large area, you'll want to go on a nice day.

Totally agree with all those comments. Twoish hours. Mind you twenty minutes with a kaka parrot on your shoulder sniffing your perfume on your neck, under your chin and down your shirt front just can't be missed. It also wiped its head and beak over its body and wings, the keeper said it probably helps with their water proofing. What a privilege that was.(Btw it doesn't have to be a n expensive perfume either)
