We decided to drop in as we were staying in Gisborne - we didn't do the tour, just came in for some food and a pint. We went for the taster board (5 beers, $15) and a plate of cheese and biscuits (large, $30). The...More

We were here for the new year holiday and found quite a few places closed and the town somewhat deserted. Sunshine Brewery was like a gift from God and, together with Peppers Beach Bar, made our Gisborne stay a treat. There is a wide choice...More

Loved this place. A massive selection of beer all delicious. There is even a whole row of IPAs! It is also a great place to sit and enjoy a pint in a neat setting. You can takeaway your favourites as well.

Wow! Nice beers and so many to choose from, all on draft. And nice finger food too - try the cheese platter. Good vibe too.

I didn't enjoy all the beers but I really enjoyed the 'tour' and the atmosphere. Pity it was a freezing cold day but hey that's got nothing to do with the brewery!

Interesting and delicious beer options for everyone as not a big beer drinker. I was pleasantly surprised, was a great first proper tasting experience, very friendly staff and atmosphere.

I would give it at least 40 mins, most cruise ships tender for Gisborne so that might add a bit of time as well. Would also depend on which route you took, direct or along the shore line.
