While visiting Auckland we had a walk round the Arcade. There are some unusual shops with a really good cook shop selling some unusual cooking utensils. There are a good selection of shops to browse through.

Off Queens Street, this old arcade has some interreting architecture, and shops and cafes. It falls well short of similar arcades in Melbourne but interesting enough for s sytroll through.

This arcade has a real good selection of shops to suit every pocket.
Lot of Top Designer shops.
Lovely gift shops.
Boutique type places.
Supermarkets tucked away for those in self catering appartments.
Lovely coffee shops for your flat whites.
Just walk the length of Queen Street and you'll find everything you could wish to buy.

Located on Queen Street in the heart of the shopping district is this indoor 2-story mall lined with nice shops. On the 2nd floor is also a restaurant. A large variety of shops to choose from in here.

We were killing time before our English Tea appointment in the Grand Windsor Hotel Restaurant. So we decided to spend it shopping of course. The Queen's Arcade was just a few spaces down and has a number of quaint shops that we were able to find some gift items to purchase for our family. They also had places to sit so my wife and I traded off resting and going in various of the shops. She loved the kitchen shop but did not purchase anything due to the lack of room in our suit cases.

Bought a Opal ring from them in Jan 2017. list price was 7000.00 took discounts off of 60% and another 15% and ended up paying 2300.00 New Zealand dollars. Came home and found out it is only worth 2300.00 what a scam. The discounts that were taken because we were on a cruise ship. Please be careful when shopping there.

Chanced upon this beautiful building while walking along Queens Street. It has an assortment of shops selling shoes , records , spectacles and if course, food. The building is a delight to see. You marvel at the details and the maintenance. Probably it's only concession to the new era is the installation of escalators. Hope they keep the building spic and span.

As there are more and more people downloading online, the record/ CD shops are becoming fewer and fewer. There was one music record shop in Queens Arcade, worth the visit.
