Great beers, made even more fantastic by the welcoming bar staff and warm atmosphere. Hard to find a "proper pub" in a city but this one is perfect. Enjoyed a great few drinks and a meal with my dad and step mum. 10/10 would recommend

This little lane off Queen Street is full of nice places to eat and a good bar. It is a pedestrian street. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the weather while you eat or drink from the many options. Head here for lunch or a preshow drink.

with anticipation we'd been looking for the vulcan cafe on vulcan street and found it. You know, there are some better places just up the small alley (which is what Vulcan street is) turn right and then left into the Chancery; sit outside and let the bold sparrows nibble your very tasty cake/turkish bread/ crepe etc literally out of your fingers. Coffee in NZ is absolutely fantastic wherever you are.

Was it the fact that there was a large cruise ship docked! But I found this area overpriced, along with a number of shops along queen street in Auckland. In fact apart from the excellent accommodation at Sky City Hotel I found the whole inner Auckland city experience disappointing. The number of people begging (whilst openly consuming alcohol) was concerning and a few of them were openly abusive when no money was given. Won't be back and can think of other places I'd rather experience for a four day break on the way back to Australia

Vulcan Lane is a fun little shopping district with all the stores you'd expect and a few unique ones. However, I felt like the whole place wasn't very "New Zealand." Icebreaker was the only place that I found good wool products for sale. You can find a retail space like this in any major city, so why spend your valuable New Zealand time here?

It is only worth a visit if you are in the city and want something to eat during the day, at night it is more interesting place to eat, I work in the city so would only go there for a walk as there is not much to see so only worth it if you are comming into the city, if it is during the day do not come into the city by car as parking is bad and the traffic is so bad, to travel home 20km will take me an hour plus.

After our walk along Queen Street we took a walk along Vulcan Lane, nice cafes and restaurants. I don't see it as a attraction, I could be wrong.

It is tucked in the mid of Lower Queen St area, the main CBD spot of Auckland. A short and a bit narrow road, but pedestrian friendly with rows of mid to high class products shops, restaurants and café. Nice place to walk and enjoy the environment. Not really spectacular place but add this place as a bonus when you have time strolling along Lower Queen Street.

This little lane is packed with cafes. A good spot for people watching. Sometimes a busker is at work in the lane.
