Took the grandchild here on a bus from Auckland CBD. Easy 25 minute ride. Nice flat bay, decent park and plenty of cafes around.

Best on a calm day as the site is exposed. The views towards Rangitoto and back to the city are just spectacular and the variety of routes you can take is great as paths circle the mount at various levels and intersect with each other. Now my favourite local walk.

We were fortunate enough to stay here for three days as part of our holiday. Great beach with plenty to see. Weekends see lots of activity on the beach. Lovely green spaces too. Hosting palates and fitness classes. Scooters available to hire to ride along the prom. Good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. You can also walk along the seafront to the next bay.

This is a beautiful beach! We visited here on December 25 and saw how real New Zealanders celebrate Christmas. Bring out the barbecues, beach toys, and sparking wine! This is the right was to celebrates day connect with family members . Some brought entire feasts! It was amazing what emerged from coolers! Can’t beat these views!
