A great place to visit! But not much to do there but has an amazing view. It's worth the drive. Probably a one off trip.

The view from the lighthouse was spectacular. The drive to the lighthouse was long and scary. Not good for people for car motion sickness. Probably will not go there again.

a beautiful spot, unspoilt and definitely worth a visit. If the flight into Auckland are routed this way it is great for plane spotting.
It is an old lighthouse with a nice view. Very popular, it was full of tourists. It is a bit remote but still worth the driving. You could spend the whole day if you include Awhitu Regional Park, about 15-20 minutes driving from the Lighthouse....More
Its a long way from anywhere so go when the weather is calm and sunny so you can perhaps stop and have a picnic.The heads are grass covered sand dunes created 20 million years ago.
