Plenty of great walks to do, gorgeous views - fairy falls and cascade falls! Little slippery in winter but just as gorgeous as in summer.

If your term felling energetic go along ther Sir Ed Hillary track, its 80 km long so unless your doing the ultra marathon then it will take you a couple of days

Always beautiful no matter the weather or destination, all of Waitakere is stunning! Visit the beaches, the bush, the dams...scenery is incredible.

It's great anytime of year. Nice and cool in summer and in the wet weather the bush gives off a really special aroma. But have waterproof jackets and good walking shoes, because you will get everytning wet
