if you take new visitors to NZ around Auckland, make sure you go here. Best place to give them an overview of Auckland, and a bit of history.

Great to walk up or drive. The place has 360 views of the city and is a better option than Mount Eden if you want to drive although it's a bit further from the city which may or may not be better for you. I...More

This is a must do, the view from the top is amazing and 360o right around Auckland is beautiful, great way to pin point places in Auckland. Highly recommend.

The One Tree Hill domain provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding environment and is a memorial for both Maori and Kiwi. The park entrance times vary, depending on seasons.

An amazing view from the top of the hill. It really shows, how Auckland and surrounding area is build on vulcanic ground and hills.

Although the place allows for cars to get to the top, I would recommend taking a walk. As the view is amazing both during the ealk and at the top. Be warned tho, it can get really windy at the top.

Yes there are suburban bus routes from the city that pass by , but no specific return buses . Depending on which side you start the walk will vary from 10- 15! Mins without photo stops :)
