It is a windy drive up a narrow road but worth the drive. It can be windy so be prepared. It finishes off a visit to the Cornwall Park which is a great Sunday afternoon activity.

Great views from the monument at the top of the hill, and we were amazed that it is possible to drive to and park right at the top. If we had had more time we would have walked up, which most sensible people appeared to...More

The roads up most Auckland mountains are about to be closed to public access - make sure you get to take in the stunning views of Auckland while you still can!

The view from the top was nice. However, I don't know if it was worth the trouble to get there. We took the train to Greenlane station and it was then about a 1.5 hours walk to the summit. If you decide to go, do...More

Visited in March. Was great to see whole of Auckland from all positions. It's a lovely spot to drive to and also is surrounded by a beautiful huge park with sheep in, wild Pheasants and many lovely old trees. Great for Family

Yes there are suburban bus routes from the city that pass by , but no specific return buses . Depending on which side you start the walk will vary from 10- 15! Mins without photo stops :)
