You would get a wonderful view of the city from here. Down the hill are a couple of cafes.sp go for a nice breakfast or brunch and then burn off the sugar with a walk on Mount Eden.

Mt Eden on the top feels like the garden of Eden. The wind was cool, light and lovely and the views across was spectacular even though it was during the day. There wasn't too many people about and that made it more like home. Great...More

Mt Eden is a beautiful place to have a picnic in the warmer months. You can see so much from the top! However in summer time it can get a bit crowded just like Cornwall park.

Right in the middle of Mt Eden. Car parking available. Run walk or bike to the top for a great view of Auckland and of the crater. Easy enough.

It's a 5 minute uphill walk from the parking lot...not too difficult. The view of all of Auckland are excellent and the views into the crater are great.

Be aware that Mt Eden is not part of Cornwall Park. Cornwall Park surrounds its own volcanic cone called One Tree Hill (this is THE One Tree Hill of the famous U2 song). It has an excellent view just like Mt Eden.
