Came up here on the hop on hop off bus tour and where the bus stops you have to walk up a steep hill but it's really worthwhile when you see the views from the top.

Mt Eden is now only accessible on foot to the top of the mount as you were able to drive to the top and park. Views are spectacular as in the picture shown of Auckland CBD. In the Summer take a wind breaker with you...More

A cold rainy day and a steep climb up to the top. At the top we peered into the deep crater with grassy slopes. Interesting to see and know that this was just one of the many volcanoes now extinct which had once been part...More

Was extremely windy the day I visited, so apart from feeling like I was getting blown off the mountain, the 360 degree views of Auckland are excellent. You really need to see the crater yourself to appreciate how steep/deep it is. A decent walk around.

Great views to every direction. Crater was interesting to see so close. I recommend to go in a sunny weather. Great option to see the whole city from up for free.

Perfect for the Auckland city view, nothing to do much just like a park and view point. On the top quite windy. About 10-15 mins drive from city center.

Hi. Yep absolutely. It's concreted footpath all the way up. So if you go slow, weather is nice and you are wearing comfortable gear - you will be good as gold! Good luck!;)
