museum is located here with large grassy walking spaces, old trees and manicured gardens. A lovely space to organise a social family sports game, picnic or walk.

What can I say, it was Christmas in the Park! Caravan food! Frisbees! Free Coca-Cola! A great field with lots of people...and a 70's styled variety show that hearkens back to the Osmond Family show!

here's a place for all the family to come 'n enjoy! Botanic gardens with all the tropical delites without the 'creepy crawlies' in the deliteful Dome House behind the coffee shop (yes open for meals/ice cream etc). A pond with ducklings (Dec.) with the kiddies while lots of walking/running/riding trails thru park & around the War Memorial Museum. (see separate... More

This is one of the most magnificent parks on offer. It has so much to show, from the winter gardens to the museum, as well as large green fields and a small bush to run around in.

I love bringing my daughter here during the day! It's close to the Wintergardens and the ponds there, and the Park is a great area for the kids to play. Bring a Picnic and take advantage of the fine weather during the summer months. This is one of my favourite spots, and so close to the Museum. Would recommend for... More

Hugh park with a winter garden in it. There are two parts to the winter garden which is worth a visit. One building houses tropical plants and the other has flowering plants in it. Love it.

This big central park is where an ancient volcano used to be. It has several sports fields where we saw many people play. On one side it has the Auckland War Memorial Museum, on the other there are 2 glasshouses called the Wintergarden. It's very big, and is a very popular place among locals. There is also a duck pond.

Beautiful expansive grounds where you will find people having picnics, or having a quick bush walk, joggers, young couples in love, families flying kites or feeding the ducks. Over summer they often have live music in the band rotunda on a Sunday afternoon. There are cricketers playing on the cricket pitch and friends playing touch rugby. This is also where you... More
