The domain is a pleasure to walk and is very user friendly. It's possible to walk from Parnell through the marked woodland path down to the city via the university and it makes for a lovely shaded walk.

We went into the winter gardens, which were quite small. There were many different kinds of interesting flowers and plants. The garden outside the greenhouse is quiet and nicely designed too. Great time in a rainy day.

Well worth your time to visit - easily walkable from the downtown area of Auckland. The wintergardens (greenhouses) and fern garden behind are beautiful, and you get great views over the city around the Auckland Museum.
