A wonderful patch of greenery, right over the Grafton Bridge, near Newmarket and Parnell, it is not unusual to find people playing Rugby on. The vast lawn, which is kept well. Worth a stroll and a relaxing break.

Walked here from our hotel in the city. Lovely area with lots to see, gardens, sports areas. ponds, trails etc. The Auckland Museum is in the same area. We had a nice lunch in the park cafe.

Great day out on a nice day. Park has a complete cross section of highlights, floral displays, lawn, sports facility and statues. (Especially Rabbie Burns!) the whole thing topped of with war memorial and an excellent museum.

The domain houses the museum. gardens and some displays under glass domes. There is also a pavilion style building overlooking a vast open space. This is where soldiers paraded before they went off to fight in WW1. A sobering sight as many never returned.

This is a lovely area in the heart of Auckland but then every part of New Zealand is lovely. Beautiful shady old trees, lots of walks and plenty of interesting things to see and do.

Enjoyable walk with my Husband and Daughter. Enough shade and lots of places to relax and have a snack or lunch.

Came here on a rainy day so spent time in the glass houses, which were fascinating, especially the one with terms and native plants.

Took my grandchildren after school, they love climbing the hug fig tree and enjoyed visiting the Winter Garden. Wintergarden is looking a little tired now.

It was a great find to discover a park of this size within walking distance of the main shopping area. The trails are limited, but still a worthwhile trip. Similarly the Wintergardens are small, but you can't beat the price of admission - the entire...More

The domain is a wonderful area next to the museum, where it seems most of Auckland, at least the cricket loving ones, congregate on weekends - small practice pitches, children rolling in the grass, picnics.....
