The Domain is a large open grassy area (mainly) outside the city centre. There are several cricket pitches in the centre plus a grand stand for the audience. The Auckland Museum is on a hilly section of the domain, giving great views over the city

We walked through the Domain in order to get to the museum, incredible trees and gardens. Very clean and tidy with maps on boards to guide round.

We visited Auckland Domain and enjoyed the open spaces, gardens etc. A very relaxing place amid the busyness of the city. The Winter Gardens were particularly interesting with the quantity and variety of plants from various regions of the world.
