A great way to spend the day, in the Park, or in the Museum, Botanical Garden, or Winter Garden, it would rate with the best in the world

The Domain is a large open grassy area (mainly) outside the city centre. There are several cricket pitches in the centre plus a grand stand for the audience. The Auckland Museum is on a hilly section of the domain, giving great views over the city

Very worthwhile to wander around Auckland Domain. The gardens are lovely and the cafe serves good food - if a little expensive.

We visited Auckland Domain and enjoyed the open spaces, gardens etc. A very relaxing place amid the busyness of the city. The Winter Gardens were particularly interesting with the quantity and variety of plants from various regions of the world.
