The museum is always worth a visit and it houses some very important Maori artifacts, especilaly the imposingly grand war canoe or waka. One of the most impressive nineteenth century specimens!

Loved the Maori section and the views of Auckland from the museum are lovely on a clear day. Parking is expensive though. Allow most of the day for a visit.

Hi there Robert, if it's a large group of people, we suggest booking in advance, but for small parties it should be fine to just show up on the day! If you have any other questions, feel free to fire them through!
