Beaut morning tea

Homemade scones, strawberry jam and creamy creamy - who could ask for more following an enjoyable visit and talk with Peter Raos at his fantastic gallery and glass workshop.

A 12 minute ferry ride takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The island has shops and a few restaurants. You can walk to the sights and enjoy a view of the city.

There ae many ways to visit Devonport. It is one of the oldest subrbs in Aucland and situated on the sea. We wewnt on a day tour of Auckland but you can ride the ferry . There are many cute shops and cute local restaurants. it is a good place to enjoy the New Zealand harbor. It has roots in... More

because Devonport has good reviews, we visied. But it's notting special. Shops like in many places. The only good thing is the view over the harbour, best to see when you take the ferry from Auckland

We visited Devonport on the basis of trip advisor and guidebook reviews on a cloudy, windy day. The attraction seemed limited. We had an ok cafe lunch but failed to find any fantastic quaint cafes. Lots of second hand shops if they're your thing. We went for a walk along the seafront but that was about it.

Walk down Queen St and you'll end up at Auckland Harbour. Hop on a ferry at pier 1. $12 per person return. I thought it took under 12 mins to get there but that's what they will tell you. You can't help but feel captured by this little seaside town. Quaint cafes and bars, clothing & apparel. All walking distance... More

Some interesting shops and good cafes and places to eat. The best part is the 15 minute walk up Mount Victoria which has commanding 360 degree views from the top, as well as the history. Book a harbour cruise with Fullers and you also get a free return ticket for each person from Auckland to Devonport.
