By a 15 minutes ferry from Auckland Central Ferry Station you can reach Devonport with its Victorian old houses and restaurants. Include a visit to the Mount Victoria where you can check great views of Auckland Central and its shore

Driving to Devonport from the other side of the bridge (or anywhere) is a nightmare. It’s always busy and patience is required. However, it’s worth the patience and a lovely place to stop for lunch and have a wee walk around. Highly recommend.

Lots of places to explore on foot. Cute shops along Main Street., Lots of restaurant choices, beaches and small shops (quilt shop too!). Walk to the top of Mt. Victoria for a nice view on a clear day.

By Ferry. Lots of nice expensive shops and cafes with fancy muffins. The Pub is excellent, and a nice walk neat the Library is recommended
