Enjoyed the scenic view on the ferry Devonport has nothing to offer, very small little town.also go for the scenery and enjoy the sea breeze

I always love a trip to Devonport. It has a few nice little shops and loads of places for coffee/lunch. Worth a trip on the ferry and a wander around the shops.

Devonport is a very pleasant seaside town on the opposite side of the bay from Auckland. The views from Mount Victoria (which also has an example of the disappearing gun to look at) are worth the walk up, as are the views from North Head...More

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city take the ferry across to Devenport Village. Ferry boats run every 15 minutes from the Quay in Auckland Monday through Friday and every 30 minutes on Saturday (not sure about Sunday)....More

Took the ferry from downtown Auckland. Great cafes. Very good 2nd hand bookshop. Strolled the foreshore with interesting homes.
