Just a ferry ride away from the city, Devonport is a little gem of a village with lovely beaches, eateries, shops and tourist sites like north head and all within walking distance. Even the ferry building is worth an amble through. Love this place.

A short and inexpensive ferry ride from Auckland city, Devonport is a quaint village that could easily be nestling in Devon or Cornwall, England. Many attractions there and nearby. A lovely laid-back alternative to Auckland
