London Court is a shopping arcade built in Elizabethan fashion. The builder was Claude de Bernales, a mining magnate who had a flair for the exotic. Since it opened in 1937, London Court hs been a favourite of the people of Perth. London Court specialiss in interesting shops and souvenirs. It's also a short cut between St Georges Tce, the business heart of Perth, and the Hay Street Mall. Claude de Bernales, "the magnifient miner" certainly struck gold with London Court. It's a "folly" that was built mainly for pleasure.

London Court is a faux Elizabethan arcade. It was the creation of Claude Albo Debenales, a wealthy West Australian mining entrepreneur and property developer. London Court is said to be Elizabethan, although it has a number of artistic and architectural influences. London Court connects St Georges Terrace and Hay Street, many people use it as short-cut. London Court plays host to a variety of interesting small businesses which captivate locals and travelers alike. London Court is quirky; it's the highlight of a visit to Perth City.

Love the London Court laneway. Interesting shops and a great place to have a quality coffee or bite to eat at the cafe with seating inside or outside. Only visited this place twice but it will be my go to place for coffee when I visit the city. Usually once a week.

Point of interest on our first trip over to Perth and found London Court to be a whimsical creation and point of difference to the usual high street offerings. It's definitely worth a stroll through if you are in or around this part of the CBD. The clocks strike on the quarter hour and you get to see the joust of some knights on horseback if you hang around to watch it.
Shops are varied and a little off main retail offerings.

A quaint little street in the middle of Perth CBD. A Must for a tourist but once you’ve seen it there’s not a lot to rush back for. V close to all the usual shops and places to eat. Go. Then carry on exploring 😀

Between Hay street mall and st George's terrace the London Court building is a visual delight and a must see for visitors to Perth. Shop or browse through cultural artifacts, aboriginal art, designer clothing, jewellery and antiques.

London Court is a fairly well known element in Perth’s shopping area. It has been here a while and keeps itself tidy, so might justify a very quick walk through. It pretends to be a worthwhile shopping arcade but in reality is a tatty bit of cartoon architecture containing only a few coffee shops and souvenir outlets. Sticks out a bit like a sore thumb in a modern shopping street. Not really saying it is bad, just a bit harmless and time expired. Children might be impressed.

London Court (c.1930) a Tudor replica of Old London. It has an authentic feel, as it has been created in a narrow lane/alley, with bijou shops and a portico at each end, similar to the portico in St Johns Square, Clerkenwell in London, U.K.
Perth city also has an excellent system of free buses for residents and tourists who wish to make inner City/local travel. There are 5 bus routes available and it possible to see much of the city by using the different buses. The information office will be able to give you all of the bus routes. Whilst you are there, it is worth picking up a useful free book “Food and Drink-your guide to dining out” a 42 page booklet giving Brunch, Asian, Japanese, Fine Dining, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Buffet, Vegetarian, Cheap restaurants, Dining with a View, Pub Grub, Food Halls and Dessert and Sweet Things, in Perth.
There are many places of interest in Perth, Supreme Court (c.1903) – Perth Town Hall (c,1867) – London Court – Government House – (c.1863) - Old Court House Museum(c.1836) – Stirling gardens QE2 Quay and Kings Park.
St Georges Terrace Shopping Malls, you will find lots of restaurants and shopping opportunities along the Malls.
Old Court House Museum (c.1836)
A very interesting museum that is left as the courtroom when it was in use, with the various chairs, benches and gallery. There is a free audio guide that is worth listening to before viewing the exhibits. There are 3 rooms that covers the early history of the conflict between the new settlers and the indigenous aboriginal residents

Gosh this is just a cute place to escape the crowds in the Malls. Sit outside have a cup of coffee and wind down. Watch the crowds and look at all the gorgeous little shops along there. Great souvenir shops and antique shops along with barbers and hidden treasures galore

Thank you so much.

No charge, in fact the tourist sheep should be paid to enter, after all, the money shearing experience is almost painless.....!. A useful short cut between St. George's Terrace and Hay Street if you can keep your eyes off the tacky and expensive "Tourist "shops.
